Please note that rescheduling/cancelling a class within 2 hours of the scheduled start time will result in a $30 rescheduling or cancellation fee.
We do not allow spectators at our classes. If you wish to accompany someone to a class you must pay for and participate in the class.
Pistol 1
This is for beginners, who want a solid foundation of fundamentals to draw from, as well as experienced shooters that may be lacking in some fundamentals. We provide all of the equipment for this class, so you don’t even need to own a firearm to participate. A great first step for those that are thinking of buying their first gun.
Cost: $99 per person
Length: 1 hour
Prerequisites: None

- None – we provide everything
This class will cover:
- Firearm safety
- Proper firearm handling
- Basic firearm operation
- Proper grip
- Proper stance
Pistol 2
This class is meant to fine-tune any issues with fundamentals that came out in Pistol 1, as well as introducing proper presentation from the holster.
Cost: $99 per person
Length: 1 hour
Prerequisites: Pistol 1
Required Equipment:
- A pistol
- At least 100 rounds of ammo
- Ear and eye protection
- Any of the above may be rented if necessary
This class will cover:
- Any areas of improvement that were not addressed in our Basic Pistol class.
- Drawing from the holster.

Red Dot Pistol 1
This class is designed to provide individuals with the foundational skills needed to excel in shooting with a red dot equipped handgun.
Cost: $99 per person
Length: 1.5/2 hours
Prerequisites: This is not an introductory level class. Students must have a solid pistol skill base to attend.
Required Equipment:
- A reliable, modern pistol equipped with a reliable red dot sight (Holosun, Aimpoint, Steiner, Trijicon)
- A proper holster. If using IWB/AIWB holsters must have an appropriate ride height allowing for a full firing grip while the gun is still holstered. No Serpa holsters.
- Minimum of one belt mounted spare magazine pouch and a total of three magazines
- 250 rounds of reliable, brass cased ammunition
This class will cover:
- Red dot sight fundamentals
- Zeroing your red dot
- Optimal grip
- Tracking the dot (recoil management)
- Cadence shooting

Red Dot Pistol 2
This class is designed to enhance your proficiency in presentation and red dot pistol shooting under a time constraint.
Cost: $99 per person
Length: 1.5/2 hours
Prerequisites: Red Dot Pistol 1
Required Equipment:
- A reliable, modern pistol equipped with a reliable red dot sight (Holosun, Aimpoint, Steiner, Trijicon)
- A proper kydex holster. If using IWB/AIWB holsters must have an appropriate ride height allowing for a full firing grip while the gun is still holstered. No Serpa or leather holsters.
- Minimum of one belt mounted spare magazine pouch and a total of three magazines
- 250 rounds of reliable, brass cased ammunition.
This class will cover:
- Optimal draw and presentation techniques
- Target transitions
- Distance shooting
- Red dot failure shooting techniques
- Time constrained shooting

Carbine Essentials
Our Basic Carbine class provides students with a structured approach to maximize their training outcomes. This course covers the basic skills needed to use a carbine effectively in a multitude of scenarios.
Cost: $99 per person
Length: 1.5/2 hours
Prerequisites: Pistol 1 & 2
Required Equipment:
- A reliable AR-15 style carbine, equipped with a reliable red dot sight (Holosun, Aimpoint, EoTech, Trijicon)
- A proper single, or two-point sling
- Handgun with proper holster
- Three reliable rifle magazines
- 250 rounds of reliable, brass cased rifle ammunition
- 100 rounds of reliable, brass cased handgun ammunition
This class will cover:
- Fundamental rifle shooting techniques
- Mechanical offset considerations
- Optics and co-witness backup iron sight (BUIS) considerations
- Rifle shooting drills for skill enhancement
- Utilizing slings effectively
- Handgun transitions
- Fundamental reloading techniques for rifles
- Engagements at close and midrange distances (3-25 yards)

Five Fer Sure
This class is designed to maximize your proficiency with snubnose revolvers, focusing on their unique handling, accuracy, and self-defense applications. You’ll learn proper grip, trigger control and reloading techniques for concealed carry with short-barrel revolvers. Whether you’re a new shooter or looking to refine your skills, this course will equip you with the confidence and ability to effectively utilize your snubnose revolver in real-world scenarios.

- A reliable snubnose revolver (Colt, S&W, Kimber, Ruger, Taurus)
- A QUALITY inside, outside the waistband holster, or pocket

- 200 rounds of ammo
This class will cover:
- Proper grip
- De Bethencourt reloading technique
- Malfunction clearing
- Dominant-hand only
- Support-hand only shooting

Big Iron
Mastery of the revolver requires familiarity with its unique manual of arms and consistent practice. Our revolver-specific class is designed to help you achieve proficiency with this firearm. While we don’t wholeheartedly recommend revolvers for self-defense, we will absolutely give you the confidence to carry one without feeling under-gunned.

- A reliable full-size revolver (Colt, S&W, Kimber, Ruger, Taurus)
- A QUALITY inside or outside the waistband holster.
- 1 or more speed loaders (Optional)
- 1 or more speed strips (Required)
- 200 rounds of ammo
This class will cover:
- Proper grip
- Reloading techniques
- Distance shooting
- Malfunction clearing

Backup Gun
There are plenty of reasons to carry a backup gun. Learn how to carry, deploy, and effectively use your backup gun when your primary gun is down.
Cost: $99 per person
Length: 1/1.5 hours
Prerequisites: Pistol 1 & 2
Required Equipment:
- A reliable “backup sized” gun (revolver or pistol)
- A “blue gun” of your primary gun, NOT your backup gun. These can be found on holstersmith.com THIS IS REQUIRED.
- Holster for backup gun (ankle, pocket, etc)
- Holster for primary gun
- Knee pads (optional)
- 200 rounds of ammo
This class will cover:
- Drawing from an ankle/pocket holster, etc..
- Dominant hand only shooting
- Support hand only shooting
- Seated drawing techniques

Scattergun Skills
Our shotgun class is designed to equip you with the skills and confidence needed to effectively use a shotgun in a multitude of scenarios.
Cost: $99 per person
Length: 1.5 hours
Prerequisites: Pistol 1 & 2
Required Equipment:
- A reliable pump-action, or semi-automatic shotgun (Mossberg, Beretta, Remington)
- A way to carry spare ammo (sidesaddle, dump pouch, fanny pack)
- A quality sling for your shotgun
- 100 rounds of buckshot
- 25 slugs
- 5 shotgun dummy rounds. (We recommend A-Zoom brand)
- 50 rounds of pistol ammo
- 1 reliable handgun
- A quality holster for your handgun
- 1 spare pistol mag and carrier.
This class will cover:
- Engagements at close and midrange distances (5-25 yards)
- Recoil management
- Reloading techniques
- Slug changeovers
- Handgun transitions
